It is no longer news that the National Broadcasting Commission NBC has banned the song of Nigerian singer, rapper and actor Folarin Falana aka Falz the Bahd guy #ThisisNigeria from being played on radio.
The commission also fined some radio stations for playing the song despite the ban on it. According to the commission, the song contains vulgar lyrics.
The line “This is Nigeria, look how we are living now, everybody be criminal” was termed vulgar and unsuitable.
In reaction, the rapper had only laughed off the accusation, posting a copy of the memo with the caption: “This is Nigeria, look how we are living now, everybody be criminal” is apparently a vulgar line.
The comments that followed had shown the shock of many on the news of the ban despite the wide acceptance of the song since its release nationally and internationally.
