Celebrity relationships can be hard whether or not one half of the couple is famous and those who stumble upon fame find it a little bit hard to adjust as the transition may prove difficult.

Despite Nollywood being full of power couples such as Banky and Adesua Wellington, there are plenty of celebrity partners who shy away from and found love outside the spotlight.

Veteran Nollywood actor RMD and his wife Jumobi have been together for more than 20 years. Celebrating his wife on their 21st anniversary in December 2021, RMD penned a beautiful love message to her for forfeiting fame and her career to make them a home.

He wrote: “I can’t believe we are 21 years today! My Abike, my Abik, my Abik, strong and courageous. (You) gave up your fame to make us a home! ‘One in the family is enough,’ you said. Unworthy me. Thank you for yesterday, today, and forever. I love you big time.”

Jumobi was a popular TV presenter but has worked behind the scenes after her union with the popular actor in 2000.
