Ownership: No one will save you but yourself. Others can only assist. If there’s gonna be a change, it starts with you. Honesty is the best gift you can give yourself on this journey. Determine what you have to do and how to do it.
Start Off!
Pureness: To be pure at heart doesn’t mean that you are perfect. Infact, perfection is a mirage that we humans have self designed to make us strive for excellence. To be pure at heart means that intrinsically, you’re free from guile, resentment, evil, wickedness, deception and vice.
It doesn’t mean you won’t err or be human. The scripture emphasises that the righteous will experience God manifest in their lives because of the purity of their heart and the goodness of their works.
Voyage: In your journey, never solicit guidance from those who’ve never ventured beyond their comfort zones. Seek wisdom from the explorers of experience, for they offer the compass to navigate uncharted territories.
Avoid entrusting your path to those who cling to familiarity; rather, embrace the insights of those who’ve embraced the unknown.
Your voyage is uniquely yours!
First: In the journey of creation, your first attempts may be imperfect. Your 100th will never exist without that initial ‘bad.’ So, set aside your ego and start, for greatness is born from humble beginnings.
Unlock: In my reading time, I found these words of Dan Koe which says “If you don’t have ideas, read.If you have ideas, but can’t articulate them, write. If you have ideas, and have the clarity to execute, build.”We will never be able to fathom all the vast amount of treasures
that we can unlock with reading!
Self Control: Strength lies in self-control, while mastery is found in calmness. Reach a state where your mood remains unaffected by the
insignificant actions of others, and let no one dictate the course of your life.
Don’t permit emotions to eclipse your intelligence.
Abracadabra: The real pronunciation is abra-ki-dabra. It is an Aramaic language. It means “I create as I speak”. I’m not a fan of magic and I don’t believe in it because it very well operates within the realm of extra-terrestrial powers. That is not the reflection from this caption.
The reflection is that words have power to manifest when we believe in them. Words can come to life. Think of it, in the beginning. God created the entire world with “Be” and everything we see began to exist. Think again!
How well are you using the powers of your own words??
Definition: Definition of success for many of us differs. For some, it is when they are called President. SAN, AGN , Doctoretc or even when
regarded as 2nd Richest, 1st human on Jupiter, etc. For some, it is to be called names like Nice, Kind, Sweet, Tolerant. Merciful, Amiable, Affable etc.
The difference amongst 3 categories is that the first is a product of effort, the 2nd is a product of chance/destiny. The last is who we are and that transcends time.
READ AGAIN.
Diversity: I saw Dr Oby Ezekwesili speak and she boldly beat her chest to it that Africa is the rising superpower. She said it is our cumulation and the diversity of our ideas that will launch us to that projection.
Africa needs to stop seeing itself as a humanitarian case but a stakeholder with solution amongst the scheme of things. Have we started seeing ourselves like that? Are our mindset in that direction?
Pythagoras: Pythagoras said “Most men and women, by birth or nature, lack the means to advance in wealth or power, but all have the ability to advance in knowledge” I’m adding to it that you can win all with knowledge.
We can all agree that financial circumstances can be improved with
gaining pertinent knowledge and power comes with knowledge and wealth.
Pursue knowledge!
Compete: In virtually all areas of life, you can compete. I don’t know who discovered or formed the word destiny and whatsoever it was meant to be. That ‘destiny’ is the only thing you never ever competed with. It’s subtlety
doesn’t even give us a clues as what it bears for us. It is only revealed second after second.
Feel this-before it comes, you can only expect and work towards it. When it has come and gone, there’s no point fighting it because it remains in the past. The only thing you know and you have power over is just the moment, yes, this moment. By the time you finish reading this post, you will reinforce the acceptance that; what will be…will be!
Gratitude: Imagine a very wealthy man who, despite his affluence, was afflicted with paralysis, rendering him unable to move except for his ability to speak.
When he was asked what he would exchange to regain his health, the people around him expected various answers. Some anticipated he
would seek a more pious life, while others thought he might simply wish for good health. However, his response was both poignant and eye-opening. He expressed his willingness to part with all his wealth for one simple ability: to lift his arm independently and clean up after himself. This heartfelt wish serves as a profound reminder of the blessings we often take for granted. It prompts us to reflect on the incredible value of every capacity we possess, capacities that we sometimes overlook or fail to appreciate fully.
Consider yours!
Intent: The purpose of communication is to fundamentally make a ground for understanding to be exchanged. When disagreements happen, it is either a party or both parties are not willing to jump on that ground of understanding with the next person even when there is exchange of words and both parties “understand” the context of argument, at least semantically. In essence, communication and understanding comes from the intent of both parties to want to understand each other. That intent can be borne by love, tolerance or perseverance.
Energy: This world is way too sick than it can afford, There’s a lot happening in terms of natural disasters and loss of lives. The people we
saw yesterday are no more today. There is little love trying to find its way around to over 7billion people. Shouldn’t we think of how to spread the little love we have to make it go round?
Shoud there still be energy for hate? A wise person has made a choice, “I have no energy for hate. I ether love you, wish you well or
hope you heal”. Make your own choice as well.
Outsow: Never let anyone out-sow or out less you. The law of reciprocity demands that there is balance in our dealings with people. The man you run to for favours may be financially okay than you are but you could be better off in other ways he will certainly need.
Look for those deficiencies/needs of his and make yourself resourceful to him. Yoruba says “O lowo, o tun laajo” it means even if you don’t have money, you can afford care, goodwill and support. Let’s cultivate the mindset of impacting people in our own small ways.
Disguise: Not all calamities are in itself, a manifestation of evil. This requires deep reflection and grace. Not everyone is capable of processing events at this level. Some challenges hit us and there is no explanation of good about it other than regrets. It is only later in life, we discover they were blessings in disguise. You lose ajob, perhaps God is telling you to establish a company greater than that of employee.
You face a heartbreak, perhaps the bone of your bone is out there waiting for you. Your so called best friend let you down, perhaps God saved you . While COVID-19 took millions of lives, from another lens, it was a divinely-irresistible power of reset for the whole world.
Yourself: You’ve served everybody. You’ve given almost everyone a piece of you like it is a national cake. Everybody can applaud you for that. Virtually everyone around you can’t fault you for how much you’ve done for them. If that be the case, don’t you think it is time to water yourself and
pour into your own soul? I ask in pain? No one would ever count you blameworthy for investing in your own self, especially after you’ve put out an arm and a leg for other.
Self-care is equally crucial Fam!
Tongue: Speaking so much is not a quality of power and control that I had to learn. The greatest of greatest speak less and the little they
speak comes with authority. We give off ourselves whe we speak much and regrettably, people smell and see through our vulnerability when we do so. Remember! The more you speak, the more likely you are likely to say stupid and unforgivable things. There is power in the control of our tongues.
Circle: A dot is a circle and that signifies you alone. The more we expand the dot, it becomes a circle and that is acceptance and accommodation of more people into our sphere. Caution shouldn’t be thrown to the wind when expanding our circles.
Value-driven circles are more important than headcount in the circle. A circle that shares ideas, values, propositions are the ones you should also share the good times with when you celebrate your wins and successes. Never too late to audit your circle
Nearly: There are some of us who have been though the worst break-ups that seems like the heavens wasn’t gonna smile to us again.
Break-ups that we never thought we could survive that almost ran us insane.
One thing we can take out from these episodes in our lives is the fact that we survived. Do we realise what that means? It means we conquered even though those chapters were the worst nightmares of our lives, we eventually overcame. That is the spirit onward! We will always continue
to conquer
Worth: It is very important not to diminish our self-worth. Doing this requires having a list of non-negotiables that work in the favor of your power. Self-worth is not only realising who you are but also giving yourself the due honour. If you don’t give yourself first, no one will give you.
That is why some people assume first-impression power when you’re in their atmosphere. You can never afford the cost of jeopardizing yourself!!!
