Veteran Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu has been arrested by men dressed in military uniform, viral photos and a video show.
Agu, the images show, was manhandled and taken into custody in the Onitsha area of Anambra state on Thursday.
The Nollywood veteran was wearing a Biafra-inspired attire, suggesting he did so in solidarity with the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), a separatist group the Nigerian government has banned.

Agu had in the past voiced support for the creation of a Biafran state from the South-East.
His arrest coincided with a fresh military operation in the region, coming as Anambra braces for its November 6 governorship election.
