Here are four celebrities giving back to the society with their foundations.
Tonto Dikeh
Actress turned politician Tonto Dikeh launched her foundation ”Tonto Dikeh Foundation” in 2000 and has since continued to cater to the need of domestic abuse survivors and children irrespective of their political, religious and cultural background.
Empress Njamah
Veteran actress Empress Njamah back in 2006 launched her foundation, the ”Empress Njamah Foundation,” where she caters to kids with special needs. For its 10th anniversary ack in 2016, the foundation hosted 1300 from 10 different orphanage homes.
Stephanie Okereke
Nigerian actress and filmmaker Stephanie Okereke is the founder of “Extended Hands Foundation” mainly to cater to women dealing with Vesicovaginal Fistula (VVF). In 2014, the actress sponsored the treatment of 22 women living with VVF in Ogoja, Cross River State through her foundation. In 2015, her foundation again came to the aid of 50 Kebbi women living with Vesico-Vaginal Fistula.
Osas Ighodaro
In 2006, Osas lost her pregnant sister to malaria. Deeply shaken by this, Osas launched her ”Joyful Joy” foundation with the mission to eradicate malaria in Africa. Since its launch, the foundation has continued to transform lives across Africa.
