Mercy Aigbe reveals the meaning behind her new Muslim name
Actress and producer Mercy Aigbe have used her platform to educate many who are curious about her new name, ”Minnah.”
The actress who is now married to a Muslim man, Kazeem Adeoti, has adopted the name ”Minnah which has caused many tongues to wag.
Taking to her IG page, Mercy shared the meaning behind the name with fans and how she choose the name.
In her words;
”I saw a lot of comments from some Muslims saying it’s Aminat, some said it’s ‘meenah’ and mennah is not a Muslim name etc 😂 so it is not Aminat, neither is it meenah… The correct name is MINNAH 😁
I understand it’s not a common name so a lot of people aren’t used to it, it’s a powerful, sweet, unique name that’s why when hubby suggested it, I loved it 😍
