‘LUTH Denied My Mom Entry, Despite Being At The Point Of Death’ – Zicsaloma Cries Out

Popular skitmaker Aloma Isaac, widely known as Zicsaloma, has publicly slammed the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) over what he described as inhumane and unprofessional treatment meted out to his critically ill mother.
In an emotional Instagram post on Friday, April 18, 2025, Zicsaloma recounted how his mother, who is undergoing chemotherapy, was denied entry into LUTH by both security personnel and a doctor—despite being in a life-threatening condition.
He explained that after being directed from a hospital on the Island to LUTH, where she previously received chemotherapy, she was shockingly locked outside the facility’s gate.
“They warned us she might not make it if we didn’t act fast,” he wrote. “But at LUTH, they kept her, my sister, and a friend outside. Security insisted she couldn’t enter until her test results, which would take three hours, were out. When the doctor arrived, he refused to speak with me and declined to even look at my mom.”
According to him, his mother—already frail and fighting for her life—was abandoned outside with no immediate care. He called on the government to urgently probe LUTH, describing the ordeal as a reflection of the broken healthcare system in Nigeria.
“This is not just about my mother—it’s about countless Nigerians suffering due to an insensitive and failing system,” he said.
