Akeredolu shuts ‘notorious’ nightclub, accuses Zamfara boys of peddling drugs, hawking sex in Ondo

The Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has ordered the immediate closure of a night club , Mai Asubahi Night Club and Gidan Barau, in Ore, in the Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Olabode Olatunde, on Tuesday.

The statement read, “The closure became imperative on the heels of growing security concerns among residents of Ore in the Odigbo Local Government Area over the criminal activities of a gang known as Zamfara boys, who specialise in peddling hard drugs/illicit substances and underage commercial sex hawking.

“The governor has, consequently, ordered the commander of the State Security Network, (Amotekun) to mobilise personnel to effect this directive forthwith.”
