Some unknown gunmen have reportedly killed a former councilor of Sabon Gida Ward, Hon. Farouq Hassan, barely 24 hours after invading the house of another politician, abducting his wife and 7-month-old son.
Hon. Farouq Hassan was said to have been killed by bandits who stormed his house on Wednesday night after being trailed quickly on his way home.
A family source confirmed that the 38-year-old politician had just arrived home when he was attacked. The source said he was instructed to turn around before he was shot twice in the head, immediately killing him.
This is the second attack in barely 48 hours as another former councilor, Babangida Damba, was shot in the arm while his wife and son were whisked away in apparent abduction.
