Bandits should be elevated to the status of federal civil servants — Shehu Sani
If the government will not deal with bandits decisively, tit should elevate them to the status of civil servants, former Kaduna senator Shehu Sani said.
“They [bandits] killed Muslim worshippers in their mosques in Niger and Katsina states; they killed Christians in their Churches in Kaduna State; if the government doesn’t want to declare them terrorists, it should declare them federal civil servants,” Sani tweeted on Monday.
He was reacting to a recent attack on Baptist Church, Kakau Daji in Chikun local government area of Kaduna, during which two persons were killed and scores kidnapped.
The attack was believed to have been carried out by bandits.
Sani also recently claimed that he witnessed a bandit attack on an Abuja-Kaduna train. The attack forced the authorities to ground trains in the area pending an investigation and improved security.
