Bode George Slams Atiku, Wike Over Anti-Party Conduct, Urges Their Exit from PDP

Elder statesman and former PDP Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George, has called on former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to immediately exit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), accusing them of anti-party activities and aligning with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
George expressed dismay over Atiku’s recent visit to former President Buhari and Wike’s open collaboration with President Tinubu, stating that such actions are a clear betrayal of PDP’s values. He questioned why the party’s leadership continues to tolerate what he described as public embarrassment from the duo.
According to him, “If anyone is tired of PDP, they should leave. Atiku and Wike are working against the party’s interest from within, and this cannot continue.”
He also condemned the move by some PDP governors to endorse Tinubu’s 2027 reelection, describing it as a breakdown of party discipline. George emphasized that the PDP remains Nigeria’s most organized political party and must not allow internal sabotage to ruin its chances.
On a broader note, he urged President Tinubu to compel bank MDs to contribute at least N20 billion annually into a special fund to alleviate Nigerians’ suffering. He criticized the lavish lifestyles of bank executives and called for reforms in the banking sector.
George also condemned the suspension of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the alleged declaration of emergency rule, insisting such actions were excessive and politically motivated.
He concluded by urging PDP elders to take decisive action to protect the party from further internal decay, asserting that no individual is bigger than the party.
