Chinese man who murdered Nigerian girlfriend discloses motive

A few days ago, the Kano state police command arrested a Chinese national resident in Kano, Geng Quangrong, over the murder of his girlfriend, Ummu Kulthum, whom he stabbed to death.

Geng murdered 23-year-old Ummu last Friday, September 16, in her home in Kabuga Quarters, Dorayi Babba area of Kano State.

Geng, 47, confessed to killing Ummi after his arrest, and as to why he murdered her, he claimed the deceased had promised to marry him but reneged on that promise. This is after he had spent so much money on her.
