Guinea’s President Alpha Conde has apparently been captured in a military takeover.
Capital Conakry witnessed heavy shooting and explosions as the military grabbed power on Sunday.
Guinea’s government has also been dissolved, the new military leaders said, blaming Conde for “trampling on human rights” and “disrespecting democratic principles”.
