Family of death burnt to death in Abuja
New reports have confirmed the death of a family of three, killed by a fire that razed their house which was located at Slaughter Site, Gwagwa town of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to a report by Daily Trust, the sad incident occurred on Thursday morning December 22. The fire was allegedly caused by a power outage in the area.
Abubakar Abdullahi, a neighbor of the deceased, confirmed that the incident happened around 4 am. Abdullahi stated that the head of the family, simply known as Sulaiman Tela, his wife, and their only son, were burnt to death in the incident.
All efforts to save the family were futile as the entrance to the home was locked with a padlock.
Chief imam of Gwagwa, Malam Kasim Shuaib, while speaking with a newsman said the remains of the three, have been buried per Islamic rites.
