FG, States, LGs Share N1.57 Trillion in March 2025 FAAC Allocation

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total of N1.578 trillion to the federal, state, and local governments for March 2025. The allocation was made during the April meeting chaired by Finance Minister Wale Edun.

From the N2.411 trillion gross revenue, the Federal Government received N528.7 billion, States got N530.4 billion, Local Governments received N387 billion, while oil-producing states received N132.6 billion as 13% derivation.

Breakdown:

  • VAT revenue dropped to N637.6 billion, from which N593.75 billion was shared: FG – N89.06bn, States – N296.88bn, LGs – N207.81bn.
  • Statutory revenue rose to N1.718 trillion, with N931.33 billion distributed: FG – N422.49bn, States – N214.29bn, LGs – N165.21bn, Derivation – N129.34bn.
  • Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) of N26.01 billion shared: FG – N3.75bn, States – N12.49bn, LGs – N8.74bn.
  • Exchange Difference of N28.71 billion distributed: FG – N13.4bn, States – N6.8bn, LGs – N5.24bn, Derivation – N3.27bn.

A total of N85.38 billion was spent on collection costs, while N747.18 billion went into transfers, interventions, and refunds
