GoldMyne EXCLUSIVE: Magodo estate controversy resolved as Governor Sanwo-Olu, warring parties reach agreement

This is according to reliable sources who spoke with GoldMyne TV this evening.

Recall that Governor Sanwo-Olu visited Magodo Phase 2 Estate yesterday after residents protested against the continued presence of armed police officers in the highbrow area. The officers were reportedly deployed to provide cover for planned demolitions in the area.

The demolitions will no longer take place, reliable sources told our correspondent.

“Governor Sanwo-Olu met with the warring parties today and the matters were amicably discussed,” a source said.

“The Adeyiga family will have land allocated to them in Lagos State and Magodo Phase 2 Estate residents will be left alone to leave in peace.”

Another source told us that the governor has set up a committee to ensure effective implementation of the agreement.

The committee will be chaired by the state’s attorney-general, we gathered.
