As water scarcity bites harder in Kano, the state government has begun distributing water to residents along Dandago and Sabontiti areas of the state metropolis.
It was gathered that the development has increased gridlock on the road with fear of accidents as kids cross the road indiscriminately to get access to water.
This is coming after several reports highlighting the challenges residents have been going through accessing portable water, especially during this Ramadan period.
Moreso, it was learnt that 25 litres of water hitherto sold at N20 now goes for as much as N150 in some areas.
