Governor Yusuf Distributes Free JAMB Forms to 10,000 Kano Students, Launches CBT Training

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has distributed free JAMB forms to 10,000 secondary school students across the state as part of his administration’s drive to boost access to higher education.
To prepare the students, the government has also launched a statewide computer-based training programme, with designated centres providing hands-on CBT experience. At the official flag-off, the Commissioner for Education, Ali Haruna Makoda, and Special Adviser on Education, Alhaji Tajuddin Gambo, emphasized the governor’s commitment to supporting the students with transport, meals, and additional incentives.
Governor Yusuf encouraged the beneficiaries to excel in the exams, pledging further support for top-performing schools. A grateful student, Fatima Mukhtar Umar, assured the governor of their determination not to disappoint.
Highlighting 22 months of achievements in the education sector, the Special Adviser on Information, Ibrahim Adam, noted reforms such as revived scholarship programmes, renovation of schools, provision of uniforms and learning materials, and a 50% reduction in fees for state tertiary institutions.
He urged students to seize the opportunity and pursue excellence, stating, “The future belongs to those who work tirelessly to turn dreams into realities.”
