Hoodlums Invade Lagos Labour Party Secretariat, Cart Away Millions in Robbery Disguised as Politics

Suspected armed thugs on Monday attacked the Labour Party (LP) secretariat in Ikeja GRA, Lagos, making away with valuables and an undisclosed amount of cash reportedly running into millions of naira.
Lagos LP Chairperson, Dayo Ekong, who confirmed the incident during a media briefing, described it as a “heinous crime against the state.” She said the attack occurred while key party leaders were away in Abuja for a National Executive Council meeting.
Ekong accused one Rasheed Bamishe of leading the violent invasion, stating that the assailants used weapons, charms, and fetish items to vandalize offices, destroy property, and steal local and foreign currencies.
Five staff members present at the time were seriously injured and are currently receiving medical treatment, she revealed.
Calling on President Bola Tinubu, the Inspector-General of Police, and the DSS to intervene, Ekong warned that the attack was not just political intimidation but outright armed robbery backed by influential insiders within the party.
She vowed that the party would use all legal means to ensure that both the attackers and their sponsors are brought to justice.
