Many persons were feared killed and property worth millions of naira destroyed following renewed communal clashes between Mbasombo and Mbaivur communities in Gwer East local government area of Benue state.
The age-long crisis has defied solution, with the latest bloodbath coming Monday.
In 2021, the communities clashed seven times with many killed and houses burnt.
The Nation learnt that the squabble is over land, with one community describing the other as settlers.
Police spokesperson Kate Anene said the crisis started last week, adding the policemen were sent to the area.
