If Tinubu Fails, No Politician Can Fix Nigeria – Seyi Law
Popular comedian Oluwaseyitan Aletile, aka Seyi Law, has voiced unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu, declaring that if Tinubu fails to fix Nigeria, no other current politician, including Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, has the capacity to do so.
Speaking on the Teju Babyface Deep Dive podcast, the comedian stressed that his stance was not based on sentiment but personal conviction and knowledge of the political class. “If Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot redirect the ship of Nigeria, no politician currently can do it. None! Not Atiku, not Peter Obi,” he asserted.
Seyi Law, who openly backed Tinubu during the 2023 elections, questioned the credibility of other candidates, particularly Peter Obi. He claimed there are reports linking Obi to questionable financial transactions during his time as governor, citing an instance where a governor’s aide was allegedly caught with N200 million cash meant for a contract. “Google it,” he challenged, insisting Obi was involved in the incident.
He also referenced a public fallout between former Anambra governors, claiming Willie Obiano accused Obi of demanding N7.5 billion reimbursement for political support. “Once it is the person they support, automatically it becomes a lie. But when it is another person, it is the truth. It doesn’t work that way. The truth is not selective,” he added.
Seyi Law maintained that his hope lies in Tinubu’s ability to turn the nation around, hoping that the sacrifice he made by supporting him will pay off for the future of his children.
