‘I’m Alive and Well’ — Ebenezer Obey Shuts Down Death Rumour with Song

Legendary juju musician, Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, has dismissed widespread rumours of his death, declaring he is alive, strong, and healthy.
In a spirited video posted on Tuesday, the 83-year-old icon addressed the false news with a lively performance in Yoruba, English, and Pidgin. “Satan, you don lose o, na lie lie you dey talk,” he sang, calling the rumours baseless.
Obey-Fabiyi stated, “It is fake news that started a few hours ago claiming that I, Evangelist Obey, have passed on to glory. It is a lie. I am alive.”
His personal assistant, Tope Olukole, also confirmed during an interview with TVC that the musician recently attended a family celebration and remains in good health.
The false report sparked confusion and mourning among fans on Monday before being promptly debunked.
