Missing Babcock Student Found, Reunites with Mother Amid Disciplinary Concerns

Babcock University student Oladipupo Siwajuola, earlier reported missing, has been found and reunited with his mother, days after his disappearance sparked concern on social media. The institution has clarified that the JUPEB student left campus without permission on April 28, breaching university protocols.

In a statement, the school’s Director of Communication, Dr. Joshua Suleiman, described the mother’s online claims of negligence as “misleading and unfair,” noting that her actions hampered the investigation. He emphasized that the university had been collaborating with the police, security agencies, and volunteers to locate the student.

While unconfirmed reports place Oladipupo in Akute, Ogun State, the university and police are still awaiting formal communication and the outcome of a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.

Babcock also disclosed that Oladipupo would face the Student Disciplinary Committee for alleged misconduct, including gambling, indebtedness, threatening a fellow student, and leaving campus without authorization.
