Payment records from the federal government’s transparency portal indicate that the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation disbursed N54.5 million for sanitation-related services covering January and February 2025.
The transactions, processed on April 22 and 23, 2025, were made to multiple firms engaged for fumigation, cleaning and disinfection during the two-month period.
On April 22, Daab Pro Limited received N5.7 million. Edamis Concept Limited was paid N5.5 million, while Emjas Allied Nigeria Limited got N5.087 million. Hazie Plus-Projects Limited and BTO Prestige Global Limited each received N5.4 million the same day.
Additional payments followed on April 23. Vent Force Limited got N5.8 million, while Isymus Nigeria Limited received N5.6 million.
Combined, the outlays for sanitation services across the two months amounted to N54.5 million.
Separately, details from the 2026 approved budget show that the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation has earmarked N1.1 billion for the construction of an office annex to accommodate presidential aides. A further N1.2 billion has been set aside for the acquisition of vehicles, including sport utility vehicles, saloon cars and double-cabin pick-up trucks.
Records also show that N9.6 million was paid on December 21, 2023, for the production of customised towels to commemorate the birthday of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume. The payment was made to Okwoli Aromeh, identified as a Chief Administrative Officer in the SGF’s office, for souvenir items distributed during the celebration in his hometown.
The figures have sparked fresh scrutiny over public expenditure and budgetary allocations at a time of heightened economic concerns.
