“Next president should emerge from the South” – Southern Governors
Southern states governors have agreed that the next president of Nigeria must come from the Southern region.
This was part of the decisions they reached at their meeting on Monday morning.
A communiqué released after the meeting stated that the forum deliberated on insecurity, constitutional amendment, Petroleum Industry Bill and anti-open grazing law in all member-states.
The forum commended lawmakers for the passage of PIB, but rejected the 3% set for the host communities, reports say.
Also, the governors unanimously chose Lagos State as their permanent Secretariat.
