NSCDC Arrests Suspect, Destroys Boat Carrying Stolen Crude Oil

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended a suspect involved in illegal oil bunkering and destroyed a large boat loaded with stolen crude oil.

The arrest and destruction took place on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, as part of the Corps’ ongoing efforts to combat oil theft in the country. According to a statement posted on NSCDC’s official X handle, the operation also led to the confiscation of a massive reservoir containing an unquantifiable volume of stolen crude.

The Corps emphasized its continued commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s oil assets and cracking down on economic sabotage.
