Obi Cubana: Son of DSS boss condemns EFCC for arresting Lagos socialite
Abba Bichi, a son of the Director-General, the Department of State Services (DSS), Yusuf Bichi, has faulted the arrest and detention of a Nigerian socialite, Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Obi Cubana was arrested by the nation’s anti-graft agency, EFCC, on Monday evening for alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
Reacting on his verified Instagram page, Abba faulted arrest, showing his support for Obi Cubana as he posted his picture with a caption, “A man of honour and dignity.”
When another commentator replied that his arrest was based on a mere allegation, Abba reacted that EFCC officials were doing the bidding of the politicians.
“They are politicians’ puppets; that’s why. Imagine a sensible person will choose a politician over a hardworking man! That’s why Nigeria is messed up,” Abba Bichi wrote on his Instagram page.
Meanwhile, Abba has come under fire for describing Obi Cubana, as a “man of dignity”.
After posting a picture of Obi Cubana and captioning it, “a man of honour and dignity,” he drew the anger of some Instagram users who bombarded him with criticisms.
