The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says the immediate-past governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, has been granted bail after spending about five days in custody.
However, EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, says the former governor was yet to perfect his bail conditions.
Obiano was arrested by the anti-graft agency at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos when he was on his way to the United States of America after handing over to the new governor.
He was quizzed over alleged mismanagement of N42bn and contract inflation.
The EFCC has distanced itself from a leaked video of the former governor while in their custody.
The commission says it has discovered the errant officer behind the odious act and he is currently being subjected to appropriate disciplinary action.
