Simi: ‘To Be Honest,’ Was Missing Just One Thing [REVIEW]
Still, the house of Gryffindor and Slytherin combined, have nothing to match the magic created on this project.

Album: To Be Honest
Producers: Blaise Beatz, P.Prime, Ozedikus, Ovonovo, Pheelz, AYK Beats
Record Label: Studio Brat
Where is the ‘Listener discretion advised’? That’s the one thing missing on this album.
‘To Be Honest’ is Simi’s subtle way of causing an awakening in the world and winning at it. From her smart choice of producers to the amazing collaborating artists employed on the production of this project, I dare say, Simi has hacked the code to self and being and has passed the message as was meant to be.
The ”balance” recorded on this project will go down in history as not only did Simi find an effortless way to tell her story and heal with her art, but did this by just being.
Although there were instances of dwindling connection to the artiste on some of the songs on the album, Simi undeniably still left an indelible mark on the souls of the many who will listen.
Her vocal range and tempos, lyrics, and beats employed in the creation of this project all work in harmony, and in all honesty, this album, as one of the records on it states, is ”balanced.”
Let’s quickly dive into some songs on this enjoyable project.
STORY STORY: Simi created an anthem here, a refreshing way to tell stories. Magic was reenacted on this record.
BORN AGAIN: Just as the name implies, that ethereal energy was felt on this record. This and the added spiritual connotations employed on this track just make it even more of a celestial piece.
LOYAL: My attention fluctuated a bit on this track. However, Simi’s infectious vocals with Fave’s grounded and soul-wrenching pipes make this piece a bang bang!
NO JOY: Simi birthed a masterpiece with this record. Her verses caused an explosive high, one that was highly needed after the fifth track! Catchy, unforgettable, and soul-pleasing! Did she finally become? Yes she did…the final unveiling of the person Simi was achieved in this Pheelz-produced art.
”To Be Honest,” Simi just raised the bar with this project and we are grateful.
