The armed persons were reportedly traveling to Ekiti from Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, but were arrested by soldiers at about 3 am today.
They were reportedly intercepted at Ita Awure/Efon Junction.
They were coming to invade Ekiti to stalemate the PDP primary election to prevent emergence of a candidate for the 2022 governorship election, it is alleged.
They came in many vehicles.
