Born in 1977, Tara’s journey into beauty entrepreneurship began at a time when the Nigerian makeup industry was largely unstructured and dominated by foreign brands. filled with passion, creativity, and a strong entrepreneurial mindset, she launched House of Tara in 1998 with a clear mission: to create quality beauty products tailored for African skin tones while building a sustainable platform for women to thrive.

What started as a small venture grew into a beauty empire. House of Tara introduced innovative concepts such as the Beauty Representative (B-Rep) model, which created income opportunities for women across Nigeria. Through this model, Tara not only sold beauty products but also empowered women with skills, confidence, and financial independence.

Beyond products, Tara made a lasting impact through education. She founded the House of Tara Makeup Academy, which has trained thousands of professional makeup artists who now work across fashion, film, television, and bridal industries. Many of today’s leading Nigerian makeup artists trace their professional roots back to her academy.
