Tinubu Swears In NASC Chairman, 12 Commissioners, and Two Permanent Secretaries

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially sworn in Dr. Saviour Enyiekere as Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC), along with 12 commissioners and two federal permanent secretaries. The ceremony, held at the State House in Abuja, took place ahead of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

Dr. Enyiekere, an environmental expert and former Deputy Chief of Staff to the Senate President, will serve a renewable five-year term alongside the newly appointed commissioners drawn from Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

Also sworn in were permanent secretaries Rafiu Olarinre Adeladan (Oyo State) and Dr. Muktar Mohammed (Jigawa State).

The FEC meeting commenced with a minute of silence in honour of late former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dubem Onyia. It marked the council’s first gathering since March 3, when key security and infrastructure approvals were made.
