Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is expected to announce his next club this April, as top European sides vie for his signature ahead of the summer transfer window.
Currently on loan at Galatasaray, the 26-year-old forward has lit up the Turkish Super Lig with 28 goals in 32 matches, fueling interest from Premier League giants Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Newcastle. Serie A powerhouse Juventus is also reportedly in the mix.
Despite his heroics in Turkey, Osimhen is set to part ways with parent club Napoli following a breakdown in relations. The Italian club is demanding around £55.5 million for the prolific forward, whose salary expectations of £9 million per year could be a stumbling block for some suitors.
Galatasaray have admitted their admiration for Osimhen but concede they may struggle to compete financially. As the race heats up, all eyes are on April for what could be one of the summer’s most anticipated transfer decisions.
