Woman dragged to court for ‘sharing petrol’ at Lagos party, granted N2 million bail

Lagos socialite, Ms Ogbulu Chindinma Pearl, has been arraigned before an Oshodi Special Offences (Mobile) Court for distributing petrol at a party.

Ogbulu was arraigned on Monday on a four-count charge of distributing Premium Motor Spirit (PMS ) a.k.a Petrol as souvenir during her installation party on March 5, 2022 at Havillah Event Centre, Lagos before Chief Magistrate Kehinde Ogundare.

The offences violate section 251(1), 168 (1), 244 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 and Section 195 (2)(b) of the Environmental Management Protection Law of Lagos State 2017.

The defendant was granted bail of N2 million with two sureties in like sum.

Chief Magistrate Ogundare ordered that the addresses of the sureties be verified and that they must present three years tax clearance paid to Lagos State government.

The matter was adjourned till March 24, 2022 for trial.
