Iyabo Ojo/ AMVCA
Nollywood actress and reality TV star Iyabo Ojo had many laughing after she mistakenly called out the winner of a category before calling the nominees. The actress was tasked to present an award to fellow Real Housewives Of Lagos castmate Carolyn Hutchings. The pair were tasked with announcing the winner of the best makeup artist in a movie/tv series category.
Iyabo however goofed after she instead mentioned the winner of that category before the nominees. She quickly corrected herself after Carolyn reminded her. Awkward!
Kiekie/Trendupp Award
The 2nd edition of the Trendupp award came to a successful end with stars such as KieKie, and Mr Macaroni amongst other top social media influencers picking up an award at the event. However, the event became the topic of discussion after a video surfaced showing Kiekie falling on stage as she danced to go pick up her award. Further reports later confirmed that it was a prank.
Tasha Smith At The AMVCA
Hollywood icon Tasha Smith made an appearance at this year’s AMVCA. The actress and producer attended the event alongside her sister Sidr Smith. Tasha presented the trailblazer award to actress Teniola Aladese, an actress, producer, and casting director. Teni was also presented $2,000 and a scholarship to study at her Tasha’s film school – Tasha Smith Actors Workshop.
