Videos: 5 Things That Happened Last Weekend
The weekend went by faster than a lightning bolt but, we were sure to capture some of the high and low moments during this period.
In no particular order, here are 5 things that happened last weekend, that you may have missed.
”Youth Vote Count Mega Concert”
The weekend was packed full of exciting events for Nigerians with one of such events being the Youth Vote Count Mega Concert which was convened by YIAGA, with support from the EU And INEC. The event aimed at encouraging the youths to get their PVCs and vote in the coming elections saw performances from top music stars like 2Baba, M.I Abaga, Skibii, Kizz Daniel, Patoranking, Pasuma, Waje, Asake, and Small Doctor.
Social media had a field day on Saturday after former Big brother Naija housemates Liquorose and Emmanuel announced that they were no longer an item. This bomb whic was detonated at the reunion show a few hours before, saw Liquorose sharing more details about the breakup. According to the reality TV star and dancer, she caught Emmanuel with another lady while in Dubai. Ultimately the pair announced they were done with each other and in no time, many including ex-BBNaija housemate Tacha, took to Twitter to show her support for Liquorose, urging her to move on from any man who only wants to waste her time.
Trenduppp Award
Social media influencers and celebrities alike, had an amazing Sunday as they all turned up in style for the 2nd edition of the ”Trend Upp” award. The award ceremony, designed to celebrate the ”excellent use of social media platforms,” by creatives, saw the likes of comic Kie Kie, Mr Macaroni, James Brown, and Symply Tacha, amongst others, in attendance.
According to reports, one of the 5 police escorts who walk with the singer, went overboard in showing how loyal he is to his master. Burna reportedly arrived the VIP section at Club Cubana and in no time saw a young lady who immediately caught his fancy.
However, report has it that the lady is married. The singer had asked his escort to go speak to her and on doing this was rebulfed by the husband to the lady in question.
This of course, did not sit well with the officer who then began to shoot hitting two persons in the process. A certain Irebami Lawrence and Tolu were hit and later rushed to the hospital. Burna on his part has reportedly fled the country.
