President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with renowned Juju singer, King Sunny Ade, over the death of his wife, Risikat Adegeye.
Adegeye was a member of the 6th Lagos State House of Assembly. She passed on in the early hours of Tuesday, barely 24 hours before King Sunny Ade’s birthday.
Buhari’s condolence message to the singer was contained in a statement on Wednesday by presidency spokesperson Femi Adesina.
According to the statement, the President “condoles with the Lagos State Government, House of Assembly members, her friends and political associates, urging trust in God at this very difficult time.”
He prayed that the Almighty God will comfort her husband, family and loved ones while granting her soul eternal rest.
