Court Convicts Blogger for Cyberbullying MFM Founder, Olukoya

A Federal High Court in Lagos has convicted blogger Adewale Ajimisogbe for cyberbullying and libel against Dr. Daniel Olukoya, General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM). Ajimisogbe changed his plea to guilty after entering a plea bargain agreement with the police.

The court, presided over by Justice Ambrose Lewis-Allagoa, ruled that Ajimisogbe must issue a public apology, publish a retraction, and forfeit N50,000 to the Federal Government. The charges stemmed from defamatory content published on his blog, Postreporters, between December 2023 and February 2024. Trial for co-defendant Ayotunde Richards will continue on June 3, 2025.
