Tinubu to Inaugurate Port Harcourt Road, Launch $1.3bn Abia Medical City Before May 29 – Otti

President Bola Tinubu is set to visit Abia State before May 29 to commission the reconstructed Port Harcourt Road in Aba and launch the $1.3 billion Abia Medical City project, Governor Alex Otti announced during a media parley in Umuahia.
Otti revealed that the 6.5km road, built by Julius Berger, is now complete and will soon be handed over. He said the medical city project will reduce overseas medical tourism and generate $200 million yearly for the state.
The governor also highlighted progress in health and education, including the renovation of 103 primary health centres and recruitment of 9,000 teachers to support free and compulsory education. He pledged continued development across sectors and promised action on alleged pension arrears at Abia State University.
