Dangote, Tinubu, Leo-Stan Ekeh in Buhari’s team to Riyadh

Nigerian businessmen Aliko Dangote, Wale Tinubu, Leo Stan-Ekeh and Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu are on President Muhammadu Buhari’s team to the investment conference in Saudi Arabia.

The conference, the fifth to be held, is organised by the Future Investment Initiative Institute.

Others from the private sector are Alhaji Mohammed Indimi, Tope Shonubi, Hassan Usman, Omoboyode Olusanya, Abubakar Suleiman and Herbert Wigwe.

President Buhari will on Monday depart for the summit in Riyadh.

He will also go to Makka and Madina for the lesser hajj after the summit.

The President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, confirmed this in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.

Others accompanying Buhari are the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb. Zubairu Dada, and the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva.

Also on the trip are the National Security Adviser, Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno, the Director-General of National Intelligence Agency, Amb. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the Managing Director of Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority, Uche Orji and Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa.

According to the presidency aide, the President’s team, drawn from various sectors of business, will join discussions on the future of investments across the globe.

“The three-day event, with the theme, ‘Investment in Humanity,’ which will host global executives and asset managers, will deliberate on progress and prosperity with energy; true final frontiers in investments; science in action; and impact of climate change on communities among others,” he said.

He said the President will be returning to the country on Friday, after performing the lesser hajj.
