Judge fines Fani-Kayode for ‘having bed rest’ instead of showing up in court

A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, to pay a fine of N200,000.

The fine was issued, Wednesday, because Fani-Kayode failed to show up in court for his re-arraignment.

The aviation minister reportedly claimed he was having bed rest.

The court had asked counsel to Fani-Kayode, F. Ajudua, to choose between revoking the bail of the second defendant or paying the fine.
