Nigerian heroes donate blood to victims of Owo Catholic church attack

Nigerians have turned up at the Federal Medical Centre in Owo, Ondo State, to donate blood to the victims of the attack on worshippers at St Francis Catholic Church in the state.

The worshippers were attacked on Sunday shortly before the close of service by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.

Photos and video from the scene of the attack showed many dead and in the pool of their own blood inside the church.

Shortly after the survivors were rushed to the hospital, the Nigeria Medical Association issued a statement calling on residents to troop to the FMC in Owo to donate blood for the victims.

This was contained in a statement signed by NMA President, Uche Ojinmah, on Sunday.
