Notorious bandit rejects peace talks, says telecoms shutdown won’t stop kidnappings, killings

Alleged bandit and kidnapping kingpin, Bello Turji, has rejected Governor Bello Matawalle’s olive branch.

The alleged bandit and kidnapper bragged that the government’s decision to shut down mobile networks and ban the sale petrol to bandits has no effect on their operations.

Turji, according to News24 Hausa, said that he was not in the mood for talks with the Zamfara State Government.

Matawalle had appointed a delegation of traditional rulers and others headed by the chairman of Shinkafi local government council to negotiate with the bandits.

But Turji, according to reports, said he was in no mood for talks.
