NURTW given 7 days to withdraw MC Oluomo’s suspension, sack Lagos keke union chairman

The Lagos State Council Group of Elders of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has written the national body on how to tackle the crisis rocking the union.

They described the suspension as unwarranted.

In a letter dated March 14 the elders asked NURTW to revoke the suspension of its Lagos chairman, Musiliu Akinsanya (aka MC Oluomo).

The letter was jointly signed by the group leaders, Samuel Jonah, Alao Adewuyi, Alamu Otegbeye, Bola Lemboye and Stephen Fatusi.

The group also enjoined the national body to withdraw the appointment of Azeez Jubril Abiola as the Lagos chairman of Tricycle Owners and Operators Association of Nigeria (TOOAN).

According to them, the action was unconstitutional. They said it is wrong to have two chairmen in a state.

“We expect the withdrawal of the two letters within seven days to enable us to conclude the settlement of the crisis once and for all,” the group demanded.
