President Tinubu Commissions Nigeria Revenue Service Headquarters in Abuja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday officially commissioned the newly completed Corporate Headquarters of the Nigeria Revenue Service in Abuja, marking a significant milestone in the federal government’s ongoing tax system reforms.

The unveiling ceremony also signaled the formal transition from the Federal Inland Revenue Service to the restructured Nigeria Revenue Service, a move aimed at improving efficiency, accountability, and revenue generation.

Speaking during the event, the president praised the agency’s performance and described the new headquarters as a symbol of progress and institutional integrity. In a video shared by his Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, Tinubu declared the building officially open.

The ceremony featured a ribbon-cutting moment attended by key government officials, including the Chairman of the NRS, Zacch Adedeji; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen; Senate President Godswill Akpabio; and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, among others.

While reading the commemorative plaque, Tinubu stated that the building, commissioned on April 14, 2026, stands as “a lasting symbol of integrity.”
