Her Royal Majesty, Queen Ronke Ademiluyi‑Ogunwusi, is the wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi. She is a British‑Nigerian fashion entrepreneur, author, lawyer and cultural advocate who is known for her dedication to women’s empowerment and cultural heritage.
Queen Ronke is the founder of Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) and the sister event, Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN), which she founded in 2011 and 2014, respectively. Her Majesty’s works spans continents with a bold mission to expand the visibility, awareness and sustainability of African fashion on the global stage. She later expanded with initiatives like Africa Fashion Week Brazil and the Adire Oodua Textile & Training Hub in Nigeria.
Queen Ronke’s Fashion brand is not a traditional fashion label, rather, it is a platform that promotes African fashion and creativity. Africa Fashion Week Nigeria is a growing home base, complementing the London event as a leading platform for Nigerian and African fashion talent. AFWN showcases local designers, creatives, and SMEs, providing them with critical exposure, networking opportunities, and industry support.
Through these platforms, she has created a global platform to amplify African creativity, indigenous craftsmanship and position African fashion as a significant player in global discussions. Beyond fashion, AFWL serves as a community‑building avenue where cultural identity, creative expression, and enterprise intersect meet.
The 11th edition of the African Fashion Week Nigeria is coming up on 20th December, 2025 – 21st December, 2025 in Lagos and Nigeria anticipate it as over the years, the runway showcased that raw, refined and revolutionary style.
From the vibrant runways of London to the dynamic scenes in Nigeria, Queen Ronke’s vision continues to uplift, celebrate, and redefine African fashion’s place on the world stage.
