Sound Sultan’s family set to release posthumous album Reality CHQ on 1 year anniversary
On this day one year ago, Olanrewaju Fasasi, also known as Sound Sultan, passed away following complications from lymphoma.
The ”Jagbajantis” crooner was working on an album ‘Reality CHQ’ before his death on July 11, 2021.
Via a video on social media, Baba Dee, elder brother to the Sultan, announced that the family will launch the posthumous album with listening parties holding in Lagos and the USA.
“We are having the one-year remembrance of Sound Sultan, iconic Nigerian singer and we are having his official listening party for the album, Reality CHQ. This was the album Sound Sultan was working on before he answered the call of the Almighty. This is a very special project.”
Sound Sultan died of throat cancer while in the US receiving treatment and was buried there according to Islamic rites. May his soul continue to rest in peace.
