Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami says parents should generally avoid conducting DNA tests on their children.

DNA tests are used to determine the biological parents of anyone. Recent events have seen parents discovering, via such tests, that their children were fathered by other men.

Salami believes that the test is important only if there is a battle for custody of the child. Stable marriages should not bother to go the route so as to avoid heartbreaks, he said.
