NSCDC Deploys 1,531 Officers for President Tinubu’s Anambra Visit

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Anambra State has deployed 1,531 officers to ensure the security of President Bola Tinubu’s visit on Thursday. The officers will secure critical national, state, and local government assets, including government buildings, parks, markets, and other sensitive locations across the state.

NSCDC Commandant Olatunde Maku confirmed that personnel from neighboring states, such as Enugu, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, and Delta, would also support the security efforts. He highlighted that covert surveillance, joint operations, and raids on criminal hideouts are part of the increased security measures.

The officers will be positioned at key sites such as the airport, bridges, and telecom facilities, and will be responsible for crowd control, preventing obstructions on the President’s route, and maintaining order throughout the visit. Maku urged the officers to act professionally and respectfully, while encouraging the public to remain peaceful and law-abiding during the visit.
