Former President Goodluck Jonathan has given the biggest hint yet on his reported interest in the 2023 race for Nigeria’s highest office.
“I cannot declare because some process are still ongoing,” Jonathan is quoted to have told young campaigners who stormed his Abuja residence on Friday, urging him to run again.
“Yes, you are calling me to come and declare for the next election. I cannot tell I’m declaring.
“The political process is ongoing. Just watch out.
“The key role you must play is that Nigeria must get somebody that will carry young people along.”
